Welcome to tauschringe.org, the entrance gate to local exchange systems in Germany. By now about 280 Tauschringe (LETS type organizations) and 70 Seniorengenossenschaften (Time Dollar type organizations) exist in this country.

There is no association which represents the whole of the local exchange systems in Germany. However, a number of individuals have been entrusted by the German Annual Meeting of these systems (Bundestreffen der Tauschsysteme) with certain tasks. This website provides a plattform which gives quick access to the information provided by the various "specialists":

1. Info - various source of information - periodicals, E-Mail-lists, websites etc.
2. Kontakt - people taking care of cooperation on the regional level.
3. Recht - this category refers to legal issues.
4. Orga -  here, a comprehensive list with different aspects of the Tausch-world can be found - software, statistics, literature, nation-wide exchange, documentation of Annual Federal Meetings, .... Various links are provided, for instance to the address list www.tauschringe-berlin.de (then click: bundesdeutsche Adressliste) -
5. !!! International - a list of correspondents who build bridges to a number of other countries and help to overcome the language gap. Those who speak English may approach for a first contact:
